SALVAGE RAIL AND CLEAN UP

The Van Wert County Port Authority is accepting bids to salvage rail and clean up 10.5 miles of the Spencerville and Elgin Railroad from mile marker 73.2 to mile marker 83.8. in Van Wert County, Ohio. Bids in a sealed envelope marked "SPEG SALVAGE BID" will be received until 4:30 pm, April 14, 2010, at the Van Wert County Port Authority/Economic Development Office, 515 E. Main St., Room 104, Van Wert, Ohio 45891. No late bids will be accepted. Bids will be opened promptly at 1:00 pm Van Wert Time, April 15, 2010, in the County Commissioner's Office, County Annex Building, 114 East Main Street, Suite 200, Van Wert, Ohio 45891. Bids must be on the form furnished by the Port Authority. The bid must be accompanied by a performance bond and other documents.
Information for bidders, including bidding requirements, is available by contacting the Port Authority Office at 419-238-2999 or e-mail dmyers@vanwert.org. Payment in full for the salvage bid is required within fourteen days from the date of award. The contract must be completed within eight months from the date of award.   The Van Wert County Port Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities.
